Just More To Fear

Just More To Fear

A Poem by Kasey Jones

Misty night, here comes a fright.
She had no idea. Just more to fear.

A car door slams, gun in his hand.
Steps past puddles, drunken thoughts are muddled.

A window is shattered to shards.
Giving up was never this hard.

He's already convinced. This deal's a cinch.
Pulls the trigger, red bloom grows bigger.

Watches her die, but he can't cry.
Just touches her arm, says goodbye.

Too late, there's no clean slate.
It's all over now, no debate.

Hello Kasey Jones,

An average teen living in an armpit....Boston I will assume. So are you driving a train and high on cocaine? Just a thought really. But has nothing to do with your poem. Sorry I just like to go on and on about anything really. Like....Did you know bird's require gravity to swallow. I didn't know that.

I do know that this is a fascinating piece and am curious what was going on in your life for this gem to have been born? It is intense, it is quick and easy, and its a good read. Well done.

Always,

Matthew

And a side note. I went to your front page after reading this and Grateful Dead was on your player. I see what you did there.
