Oh, Love...

Oh, Love...

A Poem by Amduscia

Oh, Love... Hold strong Your Love upon the flesh of Mortals...

Allow not, impatience, to overwhelm Your tenderness...

The souls doors do open wide at the touch of Thy whisper...

Lock Thy keys within Thy unlocked softness, and forever glide forth...

Thy doors, well-closed, kept, from those locks knitted unto violent clasps...

Thy house, fortress'd in powerful walls, tenderly endure throughout the ages...

I, saluting, hear Thy tongue, uttering new Anthems, unto ships countless...

Sail Thy waves, O Love, unto the distant skies...

Air Thy way, O Love, through the smiles that shape each vast shadow...

These eyes of Mine, are unsealed unto Thy divine hand...

Thy divine hand, O Love, bringing Miracles unto some... Perplexing, and mocking unto others...

A parturition mighty, O Love, is Thy better, newer Worlds...

Before Me, O Love, spread Thy guesses...

Ever-shifting the dim present and past...

Work Thy Own works, O Love, within the Evens that I know not...

Myself... Of what Life do I know, without Thy Love? ...

What raving am I to speak, or what thought am I to 'prophet' forth, without Thee, O Love?...

I know the very least of Thee, Thee who buffets Loves waves through Me...

O God, to Thee, so fast I cling, will I... Part not, will I, as those parted timbers of old...

Bewildered, and racked, is My brain, because of Thee, O Love, yet, nerve-less, grow Thy limbs, if even upon My hands...

Unto Thee, O Love, do I My ship yield...

Upon the lost, disputed course, O Love, balk not Thy voyage...

Upon Me, O Love, close Thy clouds, when I do near My terminus...

I thank Thee, O Love, for paralyzing Me within Thee, until poor and old...

On My knees, may My last and latest words, be : "O God, I thank Thee, beyond all descriptions, languages, and signs, for Thy Love".

Thy Light, O Love, lights the very lighting...

O Love, un-tellable, is Thy rare Light...

The Light of Thee, is vouchsafed, ineffable, steady, and Lights upon rays already lit...

Lighted, has My Life been, O God, because of the Love Thou hast spread, as sand, upon the Altar of My efforts...
