"Kissed..." Poem

A Poem by Chris

breathing and listening to the mind echoes ~

she's right there

right there

there in front of...

there

there

here

here

so softly close

feel the held breath

tense

tension

waiting

eyes so fluttering

lids

lidded

halves...so slowly turning

bending

forming

Oh-s

leaning

leaning

touching

touching

I's

taste tasting

feeling

warm soft flowing to tighter

pressure

pressing

taste tasting heat -

so softly twisting

floating

away...

almo  s  t  breathing

al  m   o   s  t

falling

drawing

drawing back

pulling back HARD

HARDER...

here...

her  e . . .

there...

there...

breathe...

..........................................................................................................
My thoughts drift
on aromatic waves
of morning coffee
rising with the steam…
clouds
float in before
my silently
watching eyes…
a damp grey
ambience
permeates
the day
curling around
my inner thoughts
like shadows
of a
half remembered dream…

A free write indeed. i love it! The anticipation of the kiss is always what adds to the intensity to it.

Ever heard this song, "Crash Into Me". Dave Matthews sings it. This reminds me of that for some reason...

Powerless against a kiss...

As that one song goes...Anticipation!

Nice job, Chris.

I enjoy this: you've caught all the words that are rolled into one single word, action, and moment ("kissed"). This achieves a disintegration in the positive sense - it reveals a depth and dimension to something that would otherwise be flat. The work captures time as well as space in an active way, word embodying world. A refreshing and distinctive style - the same can be applied across the board of you work, too.
