I Know Your Truth

I Know Your Truth

A Poem by Angela

How can you stand to live this way
Is this the way you want to remain
Secrets and darkness keeping you silenced
A hidden self-loathing, tragic violence

How do you think it feels knowing that you lie
Knowing you'll cry yourself to sleep tonight
It's true you believe what you say to me
But I know that doesn't mean a thing
You convinced yourself to live in agony
Now you believe your own lie, sadly

You can tell the world your fine
Pretend you don't want to cry
You can even hide from yourself
That's no use though, it's no help

I don't know what path I should  take
I can see your making a mistake
You're falling apart inside and I don't know what to say
This is a dangerous gamble, a risky game to play
Tell me what to do
I'll see it through
