Divine Deity

Divine Deity

A Poem by Anima Inspired

The sky for me holds only clouds,
and the deep blue of an overhead ocean
spinning yarns of natural beauty
for all those who choose to lend an ear.

Above is just as it is below, a sacred land
devoid of a creator’s hand, save the bursting
of atoms and the mingling of molecules

binding, creating, giving birth to nature’s children,
succumbing to the struggle that is only known
by the psyche grown from evolution’s broad brush

where the painting of our souls is but a mural
mingling and ever changing, breathing life
that bursts electricity compounded by sacrifice.

For we are the children of a solar system, a planet
decked-out with undeniable streaks of starlight
mixed within our skin and hair, feeding

off of one another’s electricity, connecting
to the ever changing, every broadening,
ever elusive collective conundrum that

has become this life we live each day.

Oh, wow! I like this one with all of your nature connecting and painting of the small nuances of the collective world and universe. You write amazing poems with love as the theme, but you write unbelievable poems of nature. I just love the way that you show things that we see everyday in such a creative and word-deepened way.
Amazing!

succumbing to the struggle that is only knownby the psyche grown from evolution’s
broad brush....." in my opinion your poems speaks metaphorically in way,
the struggle, is prose, in the way you scribed this poem across the reader's heart,
the depth and knowledge is nicely laid into the structure, beautiful,
insightful and well written, the lulling voice has an effect all its own.

First of all, I just want to thank you so much for the warm review you left on my poem, it was surprisingly accurate and refreshingly well-put.
As for your poem, all I can say is that you leave a person at awe when you give all these beautiful, almost abstract and unreal descriptions, before shocking the reader when pointing out that all these things are in fact in us and in our daily lives (I especially loved the line "streaks of starlight mixed within our skin and hair") I always intermingle cosmic and stellar concepts with the daily lives we lead, which we think is mundane and boring. So you could say this poem spoke to me! Good job, and thanks again.

Incredible a very fine piece of work. I enjoyed every second of it. I enjoyed the line 'decked-out with undeniable streaks of starlight' a lot. Very impressed.

You gracefully sing the world-body electric, Indra's net of jewels, mystery of the daily breath.

Stunning, intrinsically dramatic, lightly sexy.

What a great poem about nature, mingling atoms, 'the painting of our souls is but a mural...'--a truly inspired write!

I'll list it as a favorite...my hopes are for many more.

here is what i think ,please those who do not agree ,its only a thought it might my be wrong .Yes I am a believer in God,i think this just proves, the God theory,God has always said I am in Control, nothing escapes my notice,so as everything in the whole universe, all is connected, one thing to another, all are in harmony, all is one,so nothing can work on its own,or take action without affecting others, its like we swim in one big ocean, any move any tussle in the water will be felt miles away millions of miles and years away,i can see us lying in this one big ocean,we sit still and calm, content or discontent, but we see and very much feel every body around us,its like we all are in unison ,in harmony, this is just great ,our universe, lovely ,what you said is lovely near perfection really

There is a metaphysical intersection between the universe and man between the macrocosmos and microcosmos and you work this idea perfectly out....
"where the painting of our souls is but a muralmingling and ever changing, breathing life" ___________.... it's like reading perfect-arcadian nymph-dreams which were outgrown in the silent breath of the she-speculator, of the loving woman, of the she-naturalist, the she-seeker, all would have some purchase here. fantastic writing. I loved it!!

The gift of life is something we take for granite and if we don't live each day to the fullest then we are not really living... thats the wonderful message I take from this incredible piece.

"where the painting of our souls is but a mural mingling and ever changing" what an amazing line! You give natural selection and the evolution of stars and the universe a mystical quality, which needs to be expressed more often by more people. I was moved. - EllisD
