Down To Earth

Down To Earth

A Chapter by Satan

This time I won’t sit back and do what I was told,

My heart sang to me and said it’s best that I follow,

I wouldn’t stay and watch fear reign for an eternity,

The view from heaven was gruesome and disturbing.

I have a well trained third unseen eye,

When I focus I can see through most lies,

It reveals why the abused are forced to cry,

Oozing innocent blood until innocence dies.

I redirect my sights and flutter like a moth to the light,

I am drawn to my brother falling from heaven at night,

A real easy angel to discover because he shines bright,

I wouldn’t let him go after he looked after me just right.

Took such great care of me for such a long time,

Most generous, what was once his became mine,

Assured me this dire situation would soon be fine,

If I open my eyes I see a phase shifting in the signs.

Didn’t take me long before I jumped over the side,

I was unprepared yet loyal enough to swiftly dive,

Had to leave before my guiding light left my sights,

I decided I’d catch up with the one I needed to find.

It took only seconds to reach Lucifer and land on even ground,

Right now it seems like for a millennium I’ve just waited around,

He turns to me and smiles, not surprised by whom he had found,

Hey little sister, I thought I heard you soaring in the background.

You’re here dear Lucielle and you never need to feel alone,

We will chip in and do what we must to create a safe home,

Offer our shrine of reflection in search of new peaceful zones,

Best we contribute without ever sacrificing the freedom to roam.

Brother I am confused, how were you so sure I would follow you?

When doing it was the opposite of what you told me I should do,

I see how you tick and suggest in ways that lead to a desired move,

Let’s just say I knew there was something you were eager to prove.

I understood how chaos below and abandonment above shattered your heart,

I studied your emotions, I saw your faith progressively dwindle from the start,

You weren’t an ignorant one and you saw what was going on, it felt so wrong,

I saw corruption stamp it’s mark, I won’t stop until all those stains have gone.

You see Lucielle, the other angels weren’t like you or me,

They refused to see, lived out a lie, pretended to be happy,

Rather deny the truth, get frocked up and sip on fancy tea,

Too busy gambling away the excess gold they didn’t need.

You are passionate and most giving,

Being with you is a life worth living,

Your concern shows me that you care,

But it’s no solution weeping in despair.

I have full confidence in you sister, you’ll achieve your goals and dreams,

Lucielle, I know you have the potential to be the legend you hunger to be,

I watched tears falling down from your face the same way they did with me,

You need to begin wiping them away if you want to be able to see properly.

When neglect stems this deep, it takes an age to overcome,

If you’ve been traumatised, it’s hard to give and accept love,

It’s why you practice self control before push comes to shove,

Appreciate life before dying over an aristocratic haven above.

My bond with God weakened over these cold years,

My desperate prayers seemed to fall upon deaf ears,

Whenever you and I speak mysteries become clear,

I’m certain that I’m here because I chose to be here.

I will offer you a sustainable direction to follow,

I won’t let a real darkness make me feel hollow,

You can manifest harmony in a world of sorrow,

Let’s make it happen today instead of tomorrow.
