The Sweetest Twist of Fate (Part 2)

The Sweetest Twist of Fate (Part 2)

A Poem by April Child
"

A response to Murphy's 'Sweetest Twist of Fate' His text is black, mine is grey :)

"

Hopes and dreams

in you take root

and grow with tender care

Seedlings shyly

taking form

bathed in the warmth of your kiss

Whilst memories are

formed anew

as these two lives we share

Sprouting shoots

that bloom and thrive

with each new reminisce

Twas on a limb

we met that day

the sweetest twist of fate

Flowering vines

become entwined

encircling the tree

It turned out

I was just in time

when I thought I was late

Where our lives changed

that fateful day when

love found you and me

Beautiful and clever. The stanzas entwine very well. "It turned out I was just in time when I thought I was late". Excellent.

Applause to you both!

This is a lovely story April, and it is very true that love finds us, it is a seperate entity meant and made for harvesting, the fruit of a better way:)

Nice poem April:)

Once again you two shine

'Flowerin vines
become entwined....

It turns out
I was just in time'

And then the beautifull ending

'that fatefull day when
love found you and me'

Well done once again by the two of you

Do you know how to knit? You must because you seamed into the other work perfectly. IF you did not point it out, no one could even tell. It takes an insightful mind to pull that off.

I tip my hat to you!

your poem really do wrap around the other. This was skillfully and well done.

Good choice of words, good form, good ability to gel.

This is a wonderful piece

I think I felt it growing! What a beautiful write! I went back and reread it again...and I swear it does feel like it is alive...and moves over me like warm honey. Terrific job!

I am glad I noticed this one I almost missed it on my announcement board. The images painted were very visual and peaceful, I felt like I could hear a flute playing in the background as I read. Very good write and welcome back!

So beautifully done! Woven together like a fine tapestry, each line such a perfect compliment to the one before. Wonderful!
