Flotsam

Flotsam

A Poem by April Child

Memories

float up

from the

wreckage of

us and bob

like flotsam

in my stream

of consciousness.

I like to think

somewhere in a

parallel universe

I still

wake up

with you.

Sad, but perfect. You mad longing for a former love sound so poetic, yet you do with such ease!
It's perfect! Perfect, perfect, perfect. Perfectly described!!!

This piece makes me sad. I'd like to think we all have a parallel universe where all the things we miss most are stored, however i do not think it is somewhere we can reach, and so we write.

This is a sad piece, April. Very melancholic yet hopeful.
