The Trend

The Trend

A Poem by Archishman Rick

In this world all creatures
Live and die with cause and effect,
In every concious move
Inculcated subconscious intent;
Seeing their legacy through,
Their final breaths are content,
With evolution's pacing grace
Setting their way in this trend.

And as the trend moves along
A path where new seeds are grown,
Planted on soil made strong
By roots of old holding on,
Some of the seeds grow apart,
Carried by winds until far,
As siblings build on their shoots,
Sharing their will from afar.
