I see an inner spiritual battle going on here; but it can be any number of wars fought .. i am a little confused by your closing line ... not sure what it is your protagonist is making sure stays?? there are many dangers seeking truth within .. we are already fraught with weaknesses of fear, pride, lust and greed ... we can easily be led astray .. deceived .. one needs a firm foundation .. the Faith of a mustard seed that is the weapon one needs .. and will turn the Light on .. which of itself dispels darkness .. without our feeble strength at all. ;) i think your poem is thought provoking ... its important to engage the battle ... any other option will result in our being overrun ... sometimes to the destruction of our very souls.

A fellow in my mid twenty's, I have a knack to challenge myself mentally and physically. Whether it strengthens or softens my general naivety, I do not know.
I hope to find, and trust the worth in t.. more..
