Noose Memories

Noose Memories

A Poem by The Last Poetic King
"

a little song with a grunge/nirvana style set up.

"
I'm mediocre at what I do best,
Take me down to the river,
& drowned me at my best
Yeah, yeah.. Oh no..
There she goes
But does she know?
That it's all fun and games
YEAH! Well, I..
I forgot to say,
Everywhere I look,
Everything is so gay

Yeah, yeah, oh no
There she goes,
Hanging by a rope
OH!
Take me down to the river
And drowned me at my best
Take me down to the river
And drowned me at my best
I'm mediocre, I must admit
But I inhale all the fumes
Radiating on this disease,
If my brain must free; release
Memories, Memories,
Memories, memories,
memories, misery,
misery, misery,
memories!!!!!

Yeah, yeah, oh no
Who knew I'd be the one
To hand her the noose
There she goes,
Hanging by a rope
Yeah, yeah! Oh no!
Memories, Memories,
Memories, memories,
memories, misery,
misery, misery,
memories!!!!!

it is cool, i can't picture the music to it but can pick out a rhythm in some parts, i like the memories chant reminds me of an incubus chant in agoraphobia in which he chants for good like 8 times then says f**k off and keeps going with for good, i think misery should actually be like that.

This is well written. It reminds me of Nick Cave's early stuff, for some reason. I like the way you juxtapose and contrast, and the imagery is lovely. You are obviously more concerned about conveying a general atmosphere and emotional state than telling a specific story or making a specific point, and I like that. I would love to hear how it interacts with the song's melody. It must be quite interesting.
