Come Back Home

Come Back Home

A Poem by The Last Poetic King

Well weave me a dream,
Cause I am going to sing like I never knew you
Who would've known that you'd betray me so?
Come back on home

Well these walls are coming down,
And I am sick and tired of walking around this small town
There is something more, I know for sure
Whether there is a storm, I don't really care
If the weather withers out before this song does
Then I'll beg the doves to carry me somewhere
Anywhere, just somewhere far away from here

Now play me a song; A sweet tune,
Something that will help me forget you
And you used to say, that tomorrow will be better than today
Yeah, yeah that is the only thing that was true
Because today you're here and tomorrow I'll forget you
Go away

Well nit me a dream,
Cause I am going to sing, even if you don't want me too
Who would've know that after all these years,
I am still writing these songs for you
Come back home,
Oh... Won't you come back home
There is no warmth without you
Oh... Won't you come back home

And you used to say, that tomorrow will be different than today
Yeah, yeah that is the only thing that is true..
Cause today I want you to come back home, and tomorrow I'll want you to go on your own way

So forgive me if I say,
I love to hate you, but hate the fact I love you
So come back home..
