Nobody Here

Nobody Here

A Poem by The Last Poetic King
"

poetry. internal conflict and turmoil.

"
To walk alone,
That long and winding road
Surrounded by familiar faces.

Voices ring out in the ever-lasting darkness,
But who are they? What are they to me?

Seems like a million years have passed,
Still stuck inside that unbreakable glass
Waiting for the internal struggle to end
Begging for release

But there is nobody here...... But me.

Oh so we shall weep!
He wants to set his anger free!
The demons coil around this throat,
There is no escape from the cold

Will I ask for your hand?
Will you reach out?
Will you just try to understand?

There are demons inside this darkness
Light can not breach!
There is no salty shore,
No sweet sound of sympathy.

Nobody here..... But me

As the terrors begin,
Remembering the wound that tore through tough skin
A little hole to remain deep inside this iced over heart
Cut open the wound, just to restart

Oh so we shall weep!
He wants to be set free!
The dark piercing eyes of the demon trapped inside this glass
All alone we sit and ponder

Can't you see?
There is nobody here...  But me

We cry internally for help,
But we will not accept
Together in this darkness,
He and I shall remain
Until one of us is set free

Can't you see?
There is nobody here.... But me.
