Chemical Scar

Chemical Scar

A Poem by The Last Poetic King
"

poetry or lyrics. not sure, but I dig it.

"
A pack of cigarettes in your pocket,
Van's strapped to your feet
As you travel over this white sea

Dreaming of worlds afar,
Breathing in a chemical scar
With love in your heart,
And hate in your art

In this small town,
You're sure you'll fall beneath
Though dreams keep you afloat,
Give you hope.

A pack of cigarettes in your pocket,
A few bills in your wallet
As you travel over this white sea

Well she has a smile that could make you shed your scars,
But you're nothing but a stranger in a miraculous web
Just traveling over this white sea

So tell me what you makes you believe that love will set you free?
Is it because that is all you've ever been told?
Or do you believe it deep in your heart?

Well you spill your frustration into your art,
You play the strings with hate in your cold fingers,
But you'll never forget..
You're just one being traveling over this white sea

A half a pack of cigarettes in your pocket,
Just breathing in that chemical scar...
Your mind many worlds away
