Silence

Silence

A Poem by The Last Poetic King

Silence..
Sometimes that is all we ask for
A moment where the world stands still,
Where we reflect on everything that haunts us
Moments where the world becomes a foreign object
And your life flashes before your eyes

Do you remember those nights in the jungle?
Every last word tangled, fingers entwined, the beauty is yours or was it mine?
Regretting to remember all those faded lines, sympathy, play unto this weary heart

Silence..
Such a sweet oblivion! Words fade into nothing,
Your voice drifts away and here hollow this body remains

Reaching for the sun only to grab the moon
Reaching for the sun only to grab the moon
Reaching for the sun only to grab the moon

Silence..
Sometimes so endearing,
Friends become ghosts, like all those faded letters you wrote
After it's all said and done,
Only ashes remain

Silence...
If I could only keep one memory
You'd be the one

About
For a moment, I am here. Then you blink & I am gone But you will never forget what it was like to know me Because I am like no other I don't shine as bright as the other stars, but there is no m.. more..
