Tree of Hope

Tree of Hope

A Poem by Ashira Macy

She watched in childlike wonder

As hope fell from the trees,

Honeyed sanity swirling

On a tender autumn breeze.

Most glittering and golden

In the vanishing sunlight;

Some still painted crimson

No strangers to great plight.

They nestled in her hair

Showering her with earthy grace.

And as her fear melted away

Humbled tears adorned her face.

She danced that night with nature

Beneath the pumpkin harvest moon

Her demons left un-slain,

But the trees all whispered, “Soon.”

The beauty of autumn is so fleeting. Break out the cider while it lasts

I just wanted to nestle up under this tree with a blanket and go to sleep.
It was so comforting.

Fall really is the most beautiful of seasons and your poem is beautifully crafted in describing the season.

I always enjoy autumns poetry, the changing of natures colors. If you had writers block I can't tell, everything read smooth like the stem of a leaf upon such a tender breeze. Well done!

Writer's block? When the dam finally bursts it sweeps all away before it. Wonderful poetic images, wonderful sensibility.

That's as joyful as a child's wonder :D
Amazing and a hypnotic one Ashira! It flows brilliantly and almost as if I can see those leaves adorn her. In turn, making me believe and hope too! Loved it!

A beautiful poem. Create good place and vision. I like how you used nature and Halloween to create a mysterious location and thoughts. I do like when the trees whispered old secrets and possibilities. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
