No, it's an anti-psychotic. One I take every evening. I highly recommend it for disturbed thinking - which I have from time to time. It requires a doctor's prescription.

If you are truly feeling suicidal or depressed, and it can happen, there is also Melatonin which requires no prescription and is over-the-counter usually no more than $5 a bottle. I have found, at least for me, it settles the brain when it's agitated and self-destructive. It does not deal with real psychoses and psychotic behavior - that is what the Seroquel is for.
