Mamma, why do you look so tired?

Mama, did daddy really get fired?
Don't think about it now, we'll be fine
Mama, where did daddy go so late?
He's out looking for a job princess, he'll be fine
Mama, what was daddy doing in front of my school?
That's where he works now. Smile, it's fine.
Mama, why do you have a bruise on your face?
I ran into a wall baby, but I'm fine
Mama, why does dad have a new, strange gaze?
It's from working too hard bun, he's fine
Mum, where did dad go with all his bags?
He went to work again, don't worry, we're fine.
Mum, when exactly is dad coming back?
Please hun, stop asking me, everything is fine
Mum, why do you look so sick?
It's nothing angel, I'll be fine
Mum, mum. Why did you leave me?
I'm always with you sweetheart, you'll be fine

Such an amazingly painful reality sometimes. It reminds me of my father and mother's relationships in a way. They weren't always stable or positive even though they put up quite a guise when I was young. Looking back, my mother is more open to me than ever now that I'm in my late twenties. In another way, I've said some similar things to my nieces and nephews, while their parents were resolving their issues. I hope we can all handle ourselves the best way we can along with some help. Excellent work, take care and keep writing. :)

Parents often just keep their struggles to themselves to spare us the pain of seeing what they go through.
