Backward

Backward

A Poem by Bhumika Devkota

A dream came true,
but not for long.
For what it seemed
to last for a long time,
started to disappear.
Little by little,
it was soon over.
To each other,
they were dead.
But the memory...
it kept coming backward.

Bhumika: Those dreams were fulfilled, but it's so sad when the fade...a broken heart, shattered inside. Sometimes it begins like bliss, usually in fact, we're swept away, and like you wrote, little by little, it's gone. Backwards, that an interesting title and metaphor. We ruminate, wonder, the what if's, like it never was even real. And it does feel like death, another great line. Those memories coincides with the title perfectly too. Our hearts will one day heal, but little fragments are stuck somewhere in our subconscious, trickling in...I loved the poem. It's beautiful. Thank you so very much. Dale

well said Bhumika, that love that blooms so fast and disappears almost as quickly, i can relate to it because i know such a thing when it came and went but the memory lingers even to this day, fine writing my friend :)

Thank you.
Astounding!
Yet I found one mistake but that's ok, I make plenty more than you.
"stared to disappear."
May I suggest: -> "started to disappear."
