Whisper to a Cave

You whisper to a cave,

but little did you know

that the thing you whispered

had echoed.

It changed every time,

some louder than other.

It drove your mind crazy,

made it go hazy.

All you could hear

is the echo.

It bounced off the wall

to an another wall.

You tried to get ahead of it,

but it kept on echoing.

And none of this

would have happened,

If you hadn’t

whisper to a cave.

Author's Note

Hello! It has been such a long time. I have been in a poet's block for such a long time (the whole entire summer). Hopefully it is coming back to me. I haven't written a poem for a long time, so it is a little rusty. Please give me suggestions to improve it. Thank You! And for those who didn't get it, the cave is suppose to represent a person and the echo is the rumor.

I am right there with you on the writers block my friend. It took me forever to get back here, and I am still not cranking out poetry at the same speed as I used to. Trying to though. Anyway, I really enjoyed this poem, it didn't seem out of practice at all.
