The falling paradise

The falling paradise

A Poem by Balkaran Sidhu
"

Perhaps.....Robert frost would be proud of me for this one :)

"
Intoxicated by the joys of earning
The troubled world lags alleviation
every moment the heaven is restored
The treasures replaced, the flowers in bloom
None of them could bear a truth.

It is bewildered in thirst and hunger
Growing more undomesticated
wrapped up in the so called fundamentalism
A bitter-slow transformation.

All the fragrances and paintings
Will they be secluded forever?
who shall then coherently embrace
The beauty and the primitive truth.

From life to life, verses stave
Unheard paths  of love discovered
Like an impossible map, to the lost paradise.

The anguish, the dying self- defiance
those future descendents,
Blind from the joy of giving
the burst of unsustainable fire and ice.

If I understood correctly by "The Falling Paradise" you refer to the natural world and the true essence of living that we all fail to appreciate as we are carried along by our daily routine. I might be completely wrong, but that is what I got from it. Enjoyed it very much and think it flows well.

This was a piece of magic. It worked so well. Great depth, voice and a host of possibilities for the mind to ponder. Excellent work.

An inquiry and warning that may be timely. Just ask those returning from the explosions of fire and ice.

Aaah, so a fan of Frost, are we? I'm curious to know what paradise you are referring to.

I liked the flow and the expression especially lines
From life to life, verses stave
Unheard paths of love discovered
Like an impossible map, to the lost paradise.
The title is in the last line. Well penned piece!

I think the title is fine! The flow is fine too for the most part, except in some patches, but it doesn't detract from the poem at all! I thin Robert Frost would definitely like it. I know I did!
