Little Birdy

Little Birdy

A Poem by Alicia Hirshey

Little Birdy,
So innocent and sweet.
Stay a day,
For I crave the lessons that you teach.
Life is hard,
And my child is gone.
Where do I go now,
All hope is gone.
For you,
Little birdy,
Surely have it made.
I wish I could spend,
A day far, far away.
What's that little Birdy?
Honestly,
It's that bad.
But if you have faith,
Surely I won't be so sad.
Today is gone.
Tomorrow is new.
I see This now.
Thank you.
Little Birdy.
You have taught me the way.
It get's less complicated,
Each and everyday.
