Theory of the Heart

First poem I ever wrote . That was Freshman year . I'm at the end of my Junior year now

Someone who is needed

Isn’t wanted

Someone isolated from the world

Isn’t alone

Yet in everyway that person

Hates themselves

Nobody cares for you

Yet everyone loves you

When you see this

Your path isn’t quite clear

Daylight filters down,

But moonlight is everywhere

Give everyone what they desire

Then daylight is succumbed

When everyone gets their needs fulfilled

Then moonlight wanes

Find balance and

Sunlight will thrive

While moonlight shines

And all shall find but one thing

Love is daylight

Care is moonlight

And one without the other

Is useless
