Cupid's Arrow

Cupid's Arrow

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

Very, very old. From Valentine's Day to be exact. . . wrote it for my Ex /:

"

..:..^..:…

When Cupid's arrow shot me,

I was afraid to believe in love

I was afraid of falling for you

Because I thought you would break my heart

|

When Cupid's arrow shot me

I didn't have any hope

I was flighty and I didn't trust

But you told me I could

|

When Cupid's arrow shot me

I was someone who didn't believe

One who'd given up on everything?

But you showed me different

|

When Cupid's arrow shot me

I am now starting to recall

I didn't want to fall in love

But now I know it was worth it all

|

..:..*..:...

The piece has a good tempo and flow to it. Even though written for an Ex, it contains a calm peace about it and a glimpse into some of the truths about love.

Great Ink!

I'm going to address this right now. I do take Read Requests, but that DOES NOT mean you need to RR me everything you write. And I do not read stories unless it's of my own free-will. So do not RR the.. more..
