Who Am I To Say

Who Am I To Say

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

First song I've wrote that I can actually see.

"

Chorus:

Who am I to say?

You let all fall

You let it fade away

And I'm still waiting for your call

And why am I still here

Crying over you

When all you ever did

Was let me down

I guess I should’ve seen, something was wrong

When you wouldn't talk, or even look at me

Isn't this right? Or was it a mistake

I can't believe your gone, I let it slip away

Chorus repeat

Pay attention now, listen to me

I don't want you to ever leave

I made a mistake, but so did you

In this broken heart I grieve

Chorus repeat

I guess I am to blame

I guess that I was wrong

But does that mean you had to go away from here

Away from my life

Leaving me here

To slowly fade and fall apart! (fall apart, fall apart)

Who am I to say. . .

We let it all fall

Broken and different we fell apart

Wasn't meant to be

Now that I see

It wasn't gonna last-

Who was I to say?

Who was I to say?

Who was I to say

Who was I…

Enjoyed:
1) The first three lines are a great start to the song
2) "To slowly fade and fall apart! (fall apart, fall apart)" A great way to end this stanza
3) I can tell that it can be a catchy song and that it is flexible in terms of adding music

Could change:
1) You could add details that could make it more visual for the reader (listener). Quirky details are the coolest in my opinion :)

No. It's pretty much great exactly how it is...
In my humble opinion.
