Ebony Butterfly

Ebony Butterfly

A Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.
"

Wait for the flight of the Ebony Butterfly.

"

Elusive we see illusions that

Pass through your eyes

Crystals that form on the tender

Lashes of the lip's kisses

As delicate as petals

On a flower sweet with nectar

~

Your wings are tattered

And burnt with ashes

From a fire that quenches

Your need to be in the warmth

That avoids you on another

Day that could be started

~

Colors that never showed

Brighter than a monotone

Which faded over time

Bleached by moonlight

Nights that will never be

Known for a greater good

~

The sky it kisses the

Dust that falls from your

Broken wings never healing

More than a patch covering

What is hidden within a

Hurting soul of life

~

Landing on the ground the

Brush soft as a kiss of

Life or death that's

Brought by the pain felt

By everything in this world

A flight of an Ebony Butterfly

A step away from your normal type of wording and writing, but with pride, I can say well done. It delves into the darker side of you, which every writer must do, it will bring grat work, well done, good read.

I'm going to address this right now. I do take Read Requests, but that DOES NOT mean you need to RR me everything you write. And I do not read stories unless it's of my own free-will. So do not RR the.. more..
