![]() Ebony ButterflyA Poem by Miss Marie Riorden.![]() Wait for the flight of the Ebony Butterfly.![]() Elusive we see illusions that Pass through your eyes Crystals that form on the tender Lashes of the lip's kisses As delicate as petals On a flower sweet with nectar ~ Your wings are tattered And burnt with ashes From a fire that quenches Your need to be in the warmth That avoids you on another Day that could be started ~ Colors that never showed Brighter than a monotone Which faded over time Bleached by moonlight Nights that will never be Known for a greater good ~ The sky it kisses the Dust that falls from your Broken wings never healing More than a patch covering What is hidden within a Hurting soul of life ~ Landing on the ground the Brush soft as a kiss of Life or death that's Brought by the pain felt By everything in this world A flight of an Ebony Butterfly © 2012 Miss Marie Riorden.Author's Note
