Couldn't Help It

it's a poem i think. but i'm sure it could be a short story or something, but i'll leave it as a poem. Enjoy!

I really couldn't help it,

when i said the things I did.

You should know,

I really didn't mean it.

I walked away too fast,

and I left you all alone.

But, I couldn't help it,

and I started thinking again.

Back to the times,

when we'd talk,

and I'd flirt,

and you'd laugh at me.

And I really couldn't help,

thinking back,

to the times when,

I'd stay up so late,

till my parents were asleep,

and I'd sneek out to meet you.

And now I wish we'd never said goodbye.

because I still can't help thinking about you everyday.
