INTERLACE

A Poem by Betty Hermelee
"

the weave of love

"

INTERLACE

Fiber flourishes, glitters by moon's beam

Intensifies, in twain a veil of silver elegance

Weaves, tangle to patterns of tenderness

Shrewd spindly spiders ably rapture, intricate draw

Dwell upon a blueprint of warmth

Figures twist into a paradigm of desire

Interlace in heated spirits

Overlap, forms of abstract sculpture

Coated in passion fruit

Essences of mango, apricot, orange

Watching a spider spin a web with all its intricacy is a wonder. How clever they are, producing cobwebs which hang with dew beads at dawn in my garden. When they catch the sunlight they are spectacular. I enjoyed your posted image, a web of a different kind, which no doubt has its own magic moments. Enjoyed your use of vocab in this poem Betty. All good things. A lovely read.

Spider webs are absolutely amazing to look at. The intricate patterns they weave is such a short amount of time is mind blowing. I just don’t want the spider on or near me 😊

This is the most abstract I've ever seen you write & I love it! Even tho you describe this picture as being spider webs, it also reminds me of the artsy depiction of "fiber optics" technology, which is enhanced by your words as well. I'd rather think of this as fiber optics becuz seeing it as cobwebs makes me think about how much I need to knock down a few hundred around the place *wink! wink!* This is the poster child for turning our chores into art! I love spiders, love to watch them, especially when magically traveling across space. They can go faster than race horses; work amazingly hard, yet are rarely written about. In the UK generally weigh less than a breath: yet peeps will stand back, or kill them with rolled newspaper or heavy shoes, Then walk away only to wonder at dawn dewy veiled hedges or shrubs, or portray wondrous Winter in nooks and crannies! Could be said to the weft and weave of luscious emotion too ~ more!. What a grand piece of near scientific rapture.. and wordage, Betty. Beautiful. Keep safe, please. ( Sorry, too long).

I think spiders' webs are so fascinating in the way they are woven.
I think the weave of this poem draws us in and spins us in its beauty.
