VACATION BREAK

off to the Azores Islands

 

To my dear poets

at the Writer’s Café

I’m off to the Azores

To relax and play

 

Islands in the Atlantic Sea

With volcano and thermal bath

Just think of me

With a rise of mists in a spiral path

 

With a car in hand

One can view a turquoise lake

From the top of a volcano

Many photos I shall take

 

Last, but not least

An adventure on land

To the city of Porto

Where wines and ports are grand

 

The Douro River winds its way

Surrounded by hillside

With grape vines a plenty

Plus, a dazzling riverboat ride

 

So, that’s my adventure in a nutshell

I shall sketch and scribe if time permits

But likely more wine-tasting

I must say I won’t omit

See You soon!
