Sad Words of a Dead Girl

Sad Words of a Dead Girl

A Poem by Beverly Jane
"

You are dead..

"

Light shines its way through the dark edges of death.

I am dead.

My mind tells me.

You are dead.

A voice tells me.

It's all your fault.

Another voice tells me.

He's also dead because of you.

The voices are chocking me.

I can't breath.

Someone, help!

Please!

What happened?

Don't you remember?

A voice asked.

No, I answered.

You killed him.

You killed him.

It's all your fault.

He's dead.

He's dead.

Hahaha!

The voices laugh.

I put hands over my ears.

STOP!

I scream.

Shattering light and broken glass.

Velvet blood, bleeding tears.

A scream of horror.

Is there anymore?

He loved you.

You killed him.

He loved you.

More laughter!

Love, love, love, love.

Death, death, death.

You're dead.

Fire burns at the tip of my very existance.

I scream and scream.

Shhh, I hear a gentle voice.

It's only death.

Reminds me of times in my life when things were a bit mucky in the dark. There was a dream once where I was lying in bed with everyone around me saying, "is he dead?" to which a voice replied, "no, he was never alive."

Anyway, let's not let my narcissism get in the way of reviewing. You have raw talent, I'd say to focus on structuring those passionate thoughts into something more cohesive. This means something to you, it means something else to another. It's very abstract. Use your words like a knife to cut.
