Siblings In Stone

Siblings In Stone

A Poem by William Michael Reeves
"

Rock Sonnets series

"
"Oh, brother mine! We're born as stone set free.
We both have life as Mother's seeds of fire;
you know my secret ... understand desire,
to have a hollow crystal heart like me."

"Dear sister, please! As twins appear we be.
We're formed the same in Father's molten pyre.
My center's solid, yet, I must aspire
to color agate bright ~ so vividly."

"You hounds of rock found stones beguiled, do bode.
But if you crack us open ... please, we beg!
Surprise your eyes ~ belied beauty bestowed."

"Appearance does decieve, so heed our ode;
inside you'll find that I am Thunder Egg.
My sister is a jewel named Geode."

I don't want to challenge you but I enjoyed reading it and felt its quite clever. Rocks and eggs. The dialogue is great and I like the title.
