Baby girl, though I do daily court, the ball is in your court

If you let me play a pro-active role

in bringing joy to your heart and soul,

my time, my eyes, my smile, my kiss, my hand

will be yours as your lover and best friend.

I promise we'll see the sun rise and fall,

sleep and wake by the morning bird's call;

and though in the land strange insects do crawl,

still, I'll pick you the best roses in the land

if you let me.

I'll fire up the cold North and South Pole

or turn the sun into a big snowball,

for the depth and height of love forever expand;

and this, true lovers comprehend.

Woman, I'll show you love is reciprocal

if you let me.

Hmm, the power of love's strength. This tells of how a fellow wishes to protect and give his loving presence to his lady. It made me think of a warrior or a knight who will fight to win the fait maiden's hand. Chivalry all through this poem at least to me. I guess I want to believe that gentlemen are out there as my husband is my dream come true. Oh, I wish this beauty and lifelong strength and steadfastness for every lonely guy and gal!
