Post-It Poetry

Post-It Poetry

A Poem by Bradly
"

I was sitting in my uncle's shop, thinking about life, the universe and everything... ok I was bored... so I grabbed a post-it and wrote a poem, the words came easily, but then again, it is quite simple.

"

A memory
Fond and not
I cannot go back
Only one shot

People think...
Think and wonder.
They cannot know
What lies under.

The days go by
In Joy and sorrow.
Change is needed,
A new tomorrow.

My light shines,
But only so bright.
With so much darkness,
I'm a candle in the night

I'm so happy,
Yet so depressed.
I love everyone,
I'm almost obsessed.

So how?
How can I break free?
The bonds of emotion
Are too strong for me.

I HATE hate,
But it keeps growing.
I have to stop it
Before it starts showing.

I know what I must do,
It's easy they say.
People will get hurt,
But it's not my fault ok?

I know...
It's stupid,
Not even worth poetry.
In fact I should stop.

But oh well,
It makes me happy.
So why not?
Good gracious... life.

Bradly, I think this is REALLY GOOD. I think sometimes the best of our poems come at the strangest times or if they are easy to write they sometimes turn out better than the ones we "kill" ourselves over. Bored or not, on a simple post it or not, this is a very good write. I love the flow and ryhme, the format fits perfectly and I really appreciate the feelings. "The days goes by, In joy and sorrow, Change is needed, A new tomorrow" beautiful. Well done my friend. Kuddos to you and keep up the "post its" ;)

you do enjoy poking at the gears inside the mind i see! :D seems a bit chaotic in this mind tho..., so much confusion as it struggles to find it's place in the universe... "not worth poetry" why not? as one struggles to find themselves one should be willing to break the rules and CREATE! :D

Faerie Blessings!

Must have been a very big post-it.... lol.

Aside from that, I quite enjoyed this piece.
It says a lot about life, really.
A lot that I, myself, can relate to.

Bravo.
