Breathing for you

Breathing for you

A Poem by Bridger Hall

they say to drop it
take it slow
take your time
make it light
don't rush this

but i still don't know how to feel so softly
when you and i are chained like the sun and the sky
they say the storm is so big and you can't face it alone
the big man knocked me down on the ground
and now this storm is nothing but a bird in the breeze
and the holes in my knees are proof of what we can be
would you stay with me if i said we could do this?
make or break is just a way to take the lion of your back
we'll prove wrong every whisper and then when we're home again
i'll paint a picture on the ceiling that we´ll stare at together
would you dodge these bullets with me?
here we stand alone again but it's alright, alright
cause i'm not the one to blame it's just something i have to do
i won't take my time i'll run through hell and back for you
give me fifty years and i'll take two,

please, i'm still breathing
cause i breathe for you

this is realy interesting, and your author's note clarify its meaning for you, as the reviewer, i find it's interpretation quite able to accomodate myself too, but in much a different way. i like to see both had a kind voice, and expressed a lot of emotions. Thanks.
