A Poem by Brinja Keelake

Hold my hand or hold me tight
We need not leave each other.
Perfect understanding
Knowing each other
No secrets held between us.
We take it slowly,
No rush or pressure
Purely each others company.
We know the thoughts of one another
Speech is not necessary,
There is not discussion of important matters,
For there is nothing there to say.
We speak of nothing,
Trivial things,
But love listen well.
Before too long,
We leave each other,
Our parents need us home,
I'd never leave you if I could,
I'd follow you forever.
The best part, of course, is
You'd love to follow me too.

Nice, simple piece. You tell your story in a very natural, easy way. Very good work. I love the line "But love listen well" It seems to fit so well in context, even though I'm not entirely sure what it conveys - almost like an onamonapia but as a phrase. Very cool. :)
