Please, Don't

Please, Don't

A Poem by Broken Serenity
"

Not used to kind words

"
Don't call me your princess
with those sincere eyes and beautiful laugh
Not when you can't see inside
at the rotting thing that died

Don't tell me I'm beautiful
with those soft lips that never lied
Not when the me you claim to see
is simply a false reality

Don't ask me to stay
with that voice that knows no shame
Not when behind this strong facade
i'm too afraid to be by your side

Please....

I just don't want to be lied to anymore

Very good use of thoughts leading to the surprising ending. Sometime fear overtake the need to be held and love. I have known many women who gave up and wanted little. I believe less to lose when you have nothing to give. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry. I like the poetry that have twist and surprise ending.
