I walked along the rocky path. It didn't seem to lead anywhere but, then again, neither was I. There were no strong mountains, peaceful meadows, glistening lakes, or homes, not even plants or animals. There wasn't a sun, a sky, a firm ground, or wind. My eyes stared at the beaten path without a care in the world. Where was I? I can't answer that because I don't know. Then my foot fell through the path and I barely caught myself from falling down. Beneath me the ground began to crumble. My feet no longer walked but ran. My feet barely moved each step before the ground fell into nothing. The path moved me up higher in a twisted way. Then, the rocks in front of me also gave way. I began to fall but my fingers grabbed onto the ledge of the path just in time. My fingers strained and turned red but then they got relief. The rocks crumbled beneath my fingers and soon I was falling into nothingness. I continued to fall and still I fall. I don't know when I'll reach the ground or if there is a ground. But, soon, I hope, I'll feel the soft grass under my hands and a sky will be above my head.
