A Sinking World.

A Sinking World.

A Poem by Bullet Soul
"

A poem about our world's destruction, and how we bring ourselves closer to the end each and every day.

"

In a volatile world, with a fire at its center

We long for hope, the cure to this disease

But we’ve fallen in quick sand, and peace is sinking

At war for a God, who stands for love

As I stand here with you, I see through the lies

That hide the beauty, of a burning world

How long do we have, till death steals us all?

How can we saved, from this existing corruption?

Try as we might, we’ll never be soldiers

For how can we win, a losing game?

In a world where only money

Can bring us our every, fatal dream

Our stars are falling now, cracking open, this burning surface

Where the bodies are buried, of those who tried to fight

A broken world, where love causes strife

And fighting seems, our only vice

We’re lost of the faith, we’ve always lacked

At the end, there’s no turning back

Don’t look behind, where fire lurks

As this world falls, to its end

We are enemies, of ourselves

We’ve ruined the lives, we’ve been given

With cash and drugs, and burning tears

So wave goodbye, to every dream

At war for a God, who stands for love

In an changeable world, with fire at its center

We long for the hope, we’ve burned to ash

We pay for our sins, as slowly we start…

To sink.

Author's Note

Bullet Soul
I'm a firm believer that it's not going to be a black hole or a meteor or God knows whatever else, that's going to bring our world to an end, but that we are bringing upon that end by ourselves, with the idiotic way so many of us live our lives every day.

i completely agree with you. humanity causes way too much destruction, and in the end it's going to be too much...i especially liked this stanza:
"Our stars are falling now, cracking open, this burning surface

Where the bodies are buried, of those who tried to fight

A broken world, where love causes strife

And fighting seems, our only vice"
very powerful
