Sea of Blood.

Sea of Blood.

A Poem by Bullet Soul
"

The end to the battle of you and me.

"
The moon is bright above the waters
Reflects on the love, that floats beneath
We sit on a sailboat, away from the shore
Your hand grabs mine, and brings my heart life

There are battles beneath this lake, as nature runs its course
A fish will catch our hook, and will serve as dinner for us tonight
A shark will chase its prey, as blood flows through the sea
But let it be known to all, that the greatest battle became you and me

Back in the cabin, beneath the sheets
Your hand in mine, our love is bitter sweet
We hear tires on the gravel, an ending fantasy
The end to the battle, of you and me

Your husbands fist, meets me square in the face
As he holds you close, where I long to be
He’ll race you back home, where he’ll push you around
And you’ll forget, the new love we’ve found

He kneels right down, starts begging for you
Why doesn’t he see, your heart rests with me?
Our ocean love, and our summer romance
Broke a marriage, never meant to be

You remain strong, through all of his tears
You deny his promise, to always love you
Decline his offer, to take you back home
Demand that he heads, straight out the door

He stands up then, and starts to yell
Slaps the face, I had been holding
Pushes you straight, down to the floor
Doesn’t know I hold a gun, right in my hands

And so we watched your husband die
With a bullet through his head
Said goodbye to the battle, that was you and me
Went back to sleep, in our house by the sea.

There are battles in this world, as evil runs its course
If only he knew, of the gun I gripped, tight in my hands
Now his blood starts to flow, right through the sea
And let it be known to all... the battle has ended, between you and me

Very vicious ending... some would say unnecessary but I know sometimes action must be taken... I love the metaphoric use of the ocean and sharks as a prelude to what is gonna happen... nice work.
