The Fallen Rose.

The Fallen Rose.

A Poem by Bullet Soul

Yellow
The rose of the friendship, you hold in your hands
Never knowing, we’re meant for something more

Pink
The rose of thanks, that you rarely give
When I dry away tears, that he leaves on your face

Peach
Given with appreciation, for the bond we share
That’s never been broken, despite the fallen petals

Yellow pink and peach
Given together, in friendship’s bouquet
A simple way to say, that I am nothing more.

Red
As she walks down the aisle, spots tears in my eyes
And retreats to the arms, that have always been waiting

Black and blue
As I watch them in the crowd…
Wishing her lover, could one day be me.

Yellow, pink, peach, red, black and blue
The color of the petals, that fell to the ground
The day that I lost you.

Man. The imagery is powerful here. I love the way you collected your thoughts.
The emotions are beautiful. Even the sorrow in this piece has a beauty. You did a great job.
