The Beginning of the End

The Beginning of the End

A Chapter by Buniheart

You still have...

All of me.

The thing that hurts me the most,

Is realizing,

The most important people,

I held dear to as a child..

I’ve lost.

The thing that tears me the most,

Is realizing

That all those memories,

I hold ever so closely,

Will be completely destroyed...

When I set foot in the place,

I took my first steps.

That the one place,

That brought joy to my very essence,

Is the same place,

That could possibly tear me apart.

The thing that scares me sometimes,

Confuses me,

The most is,

How can the one place i felt so carefree,

Clasp my hands,

Like the handcuffs of a prisoner...

Bounded unwillingly.

But, overall,

The thing that kills me the most is,

You still have...

All of me.

A very good opening poem. Your words are true. Age teaches us lost of people we once needed and we must become stronger and learn to need and protect people in our life. A strong ending to a excellent poem.
