Starry Soul

Starry Soul

A Poem by Burak Batuhan Karakus

Among the stars my spirit longed to soar,
Though sorrow weighs me down, I'm not forlorn,
For though my body's earthly bonds endure,
My soul has risen to the heavens borne.

What really counts is your spirit and soul 's path in life; one can still be sad and dejected, but if you see the heavens, the light, one can be lifted out of this despondent mood...and not be weighed down by sorrow...lovely, sweet poem
Warmly,
B.

I love the epigram form. Here, it permits the poet to state his spiritual system in a few words.
