Aim High

Aim high,

And shoot for the stars

In this vast universe

Within our existence.

 

Never stop dreaming,

Believing, for what they say

The world is like an oyster

And it's just waiting to be opened.

 

Dreams are everything

Not only just that video

That plays within your head

As you drift to sleep 'neath the moon.

 

A power that lies within you,

To create and fly

Within the clouds of your imagination

And explore a reality all your own.

One of those things I just *had* to write...you know, those things that you can't get out of your head....yep yep.

You know what's funny? I've been horribly depressive lately...like horribly. Then I go into my RR's to see if I can catch up on them and with these dark thoughts in the back of my mind, the dwelling, the wishing, the hoping, here I am to find such an uplifting inspirational poem that I'm literally sitting here with a smile on my face. Sometimes we hear these words: Follow your dreams, the world is your oyster yet we allow these words to kind of ride on by, we listen-but we don't hear. You captured it brilliantly in such a way that the words don't slip idly by and you put it within a context that people can understand and appreciate on an emotional level. Thanks for this poem, I really needed it this morning :)
