Nature's Fury

Nature's Fury

A Poem by *~*Butterfly Kisses*~*
"

A timeless beauty that never shows her age

"

An ocean of blue heavens

Surrounds above me, blissful beauty

Gleaming in the yellowish orange glow

Of her sunset giving all meaning to life.

Chimes ring their bells in the soft howling winds

As the thought of mother nature changing

Every year, humanity considers

If it is for worse or for the better

Answers gone forever to be left

Unknown...

Her bittersweet rage can be loud and heard,

Unimaginable to anything the human mind

Can comprehend in their busy timeless lives

To take the oppurtunity to observe in silence.

Showing off her violent rage in explosions,

Flashes of light whipping across darkened black skies

In a growling roar that echoes throughout the heavens

Lighting them up like taking a picture of the grounds below.

Oceans expand past their boundaries,

While the mountains explode with violence

Flooding in to flowing hot rivers of madness

Destroying whatever stands in her way.

Never showing her age, destroying the old

To make room for more masterpieces in the future

Building up her kingdom in hopes that one day

The chaotic world beneath can take the time to admire.

Her wicked destructive nature at heart,

Screaming in the silence when taken for granted

Shaking and stirring up trouble, but never meaning harm

She reigns as queen over all life living amongst her.

It's a great poem, don't get me wrong... But I don't like it. I don't resonate with the idea that mother nature is vengeful and destructive. Whether this a mystical metaphor to you or a comment on the truth of nature, I find it to be filled with spite. In my understanding, the destruction brought by nature in response to our abuse of it is not an act of revenge or anger. Rather, I see nature as, in a sense, a reflection of ourselves and the destructive nature that we experience is a reflection of the turmoil and destructive nature within so many of us. That's my opinion anyway.

Regardless, I still hugely appreciated this piece, as always with your work. I loved the concept of stopping to admire and appreciate and how too many of us forget about that. Thank you.

Nature is a powerful force. Can give life and create food and shelter. Her power can take apart a city in seconds. I learn with a lot of suicide boarding the Pacific. We must respect the ocean, sky and the earth. I like the description and the purpose of this poem. Thank you for the excellent poem.

I embrace Mother Natures fury as a beautiful way of her expressing the need to void out and get rid of old unwanted energy.. cleaning house in a sense to make room for the new. That's why I stand in the middle of thunderstorms sometimes with my arms outstretched.. I just want to be a part of that rage and sharp anger and then release.. I love it... :)

You paint a spledid picture of mother nature's fiery temper and beauty. And she's angry! A splendid read.

There is nothing more astounding than Nature's fury... She can boldly take your breath away with her destruction and leave you stunned. And yet, we forgive her because she can mesmerize us in all her glory.
Her beauty is timeless...This is a fantastic write Ana Rose!

Nature can be very vengeful when she wants to be, but she has the right to be. I liked this. It has truth in every word.

Wow great.. you start off describing the serenity of nature and then go on telling how all of it can be transitory, how nature has her own way of detoxification... change and evolution is what matters.. everything conveyed perfectly.. well done :)
