BRING ME TO MY KNEES

BRING ME TO MY KNEES

A Poem by CAPOLAVORO
"

A poem for HIM.

"
The dark crawls at the very edge
Days of turmoil, confusion, unrest,
'cause humanity is still at calm
'cause someone is still cutoff
Lucifer unlocked the chains of hope

Walkin' in a rain of fire
Pulling and pushing the soul buyer
'cause greatness is sometimes loosen
'cause weakness comes without sayin'
Humans are truly forbidden

Just has come from above
Thunder rolling out of love
Lions roaring out of sight
Here comes the glory
Here comes our light

He who knows nothin' but truth
Pulled and crushed my youth
Now, maturity comes in
Dodge the fire, dodge the sin
Let the spirit settle in

Bring me to my knees, I beg
Humble me down and bow my head
Hold my heart and hold my breath
Be my wine and be my bread
Be my wings and now spread

Oh! Lord so great with power
I call thee at this hour
Put an end on that tower
Let us not just sit and glower
But let us move with sweet love and not sour

Released the dove and know that I am dry
Pour the water that is so divine
Such a splendor with teary eyes
I now know
that for me to live, you died

Bring me to my knees
the song unleashed
the first time of joy
and the first bliss
It is bring me to my knees

CAPOLAVORO
I just remembered encountering God for the first time while the song At the cross by Hillsong was played. It came to my mind and I made this poem for HIM.

' Here comes the glory ~ Here comes our light.. '

A darkness runs through your poem but those words, those above.. allow the hope that faith will raise you up and up - rather than prostrate. Faith is togetherness, of belonging - never servile, surely. Beautifully written..

Hmm. Certainly reads like a song of worship.....

Strong word choice throughout leaves the reader in no doubt about the strength of your faith and belief in Him.

No matter what each and everyone of us believe in, your words are admirable for speaking of the truth that lies in your heart. A neat piece of writing.

Damn, Cap... A STRONG feeling in this one... Word-choice, again, is just powerful... Your rhyming is on more on-point than other writing I have seen of yours... A truly inspired poem... Forbidden humans, heh... Loved it

A nicely written poem to those who believe. I don't believe but a nice poem of worship nonetheless.
