The Wind And The Petal

The Wind And The Petal

A Poem by A.L. Chan
"

betrayal and acceptance with one's thoughts

"
A gentle wind touches the face's skin
A smile of a woman with story to tell
A simplicity well seen on how a woman clothes
These are the reminders of you
That I see as I walk for miles
Wondering if you are truly the one
But oh dear me there is conflict
For I am just a fallen petal of a flower that you adore
You are the bee that will never notice
A petal like me that has fallen
A petal will turn brown the next day
A petal that will break down into bits
As the wind blows it shall carry me away
For I am better away to avoid strife with our passions
