Freely Wondering

Freely Wondering

A Poem by A.L. Chan
"

This could be confusing

"
A man once said that he is the captain of his ship.
A man once said, in order for him to give, he has to take.
A holy man said that forgiveness must be present after the wrath.
All are and forever will be choices.
All are with different and uncertain outcomes.
We always question what will be yet we still do with determination and with little doubt.
All our efforts in question but still we insist it could be the only way.
True. We are the captain of our ships.
We set the sails, tie down the ropes, secure the knots.
But with the waves of uncertainty, we only ask for mercy from the winds.
Nevertheless, there will always be questions at the end even if our actions were certain.
The end will not always justify the means.
