Message to a Friend

Message to a Friend

A Poem by Brian
"

A poem to remind Kena she always has a friend in me

"

She gave what she had

He took her for a ride

Didn't care if she was sad

The smirk he would hide

She would give him cash

He would take with a smile

And then gone in a flash

And would stay gone for a while

She needed a man

But yet he was boy

She wasn't in his plan

Treated her like a toy

She knew it was a bust

He never gave it a thought

She needed to leave him in the dust

Always his fault

Finally he would be gone

She would feel all alone

Then her smile rarely ever shown

She would often wait by the phone

She had been hurt again

I hope she knows

I am her friend until the end

Regardless of who stays and who goes

very well writtin. i think i have written something like this before but to myself. sometimes pple forget how others are and how they treat them. it is nice to know someone or something can remind them on that persons behavior. thank you for sharing this..it had good flow and choice of wording.

A dedicational poetic testimony, which hides a profound secret, which the beloved may not even be aware. It is, of course, the writer's deeper feelings for them.

The burden of unrequited love! Poignant write .. excellent!

This is great!! Reminds me of my poem *A Letter to Myself,, good idea to put it down on paper, so the next time you meet someone with the same qualities you can review it!! then RUN!! LOL

This poem really completes the picture. A wonderful view of the scene from another window as well.

Good form, good flow, good rhythm, good choice of words, well imparted message.

It really goes in play with the short story. It adds value to something priceless.

A good piece

I would suggest that Kena's short story be put as reference at the start. People will find more value to this poem as much as the short story, they complement one another.

you know i love this poem. it rhymes well, flows well, and of course, about me and my ex. we all worked together, and he tried tell you on the "down low" that i was crazy. but i wasn't the one who was. your words here perfectly depicted how it really was for me, it was a very hard and trying time in my life, and i'm glad it's over! and i can just regurgitate my emotions in a written form, and release all that pain, instead of relive it! keep writing bud!
