doctor, doctor.

doctor, doctor.

A Poem by Caitlynn Cusick

doctor prescribe me a dose of sanity,
drug filled illusions,
weaving delicate webs through my dreams,
since when is this reality?

doctor prescribe me a dose of life,
taken in the form of sleep filled light,
give me something to break my heart
so i can make it whole again when reality sets back in.

doctor prescribe me the love of insomnia,
making my life that of reason,
one to block out rhyme and treason.

doctor prescribe me a cure for love,
so i may not feel its brutal sting,
sending me into pain filled nightmares.

doctor prescribe me a dose of morphine,
something to numb my pain,
a way to finally end this disdain.
