Give Me the Phone

Give Me the Phone

A Poem by Dannie
"

I thought this up on my way home from school today.

"

You say we're done

And my mouth goes dry

My gut weighs a tonne

My eyes want to cry

And my ears disbelieve

And I think I might die

Because my lungs can't breathe

And then I wake up

And I am relieved,

Because it was all just a dream.

But I call you.

Just to make sure.

Awe, this is a cute peace love! The rhyme in the first stanza is so easy, and simple to read it's amazing! And then the power of the line "And then I wake up" switches the mood all together, and it relieves the reader of the agony depicted in the first stanza. Great great piece!
